How listings are checked
What the records behind Massachusetts Fairs & Festivals contain, which checks are recorded, and which are not. The numbers on this page are computed from the listings each time the site is built.
Where listings come from
Each listing is a record. It carries the address of its source page, the type of source, a date, and the method that date refers to. The date is a check date only when the method is a direct check. 74 records carry a backfilled provenance entry (method: git-blame-backfill). No page check is recorded for them, so their date is not a check date.
- 96 listings in total.
- 20 carry a recorded direct check: a dated comparison with the organizer’s page or another named source page, or a dated confirmation from the organizer. These show a check mark and the date.
- 74 are listed from a published source with no direct check recorded. These read “Listed from a published source. No direct check recorded.” and show no check mark.
- 2 carry a recorded check that did not confirm the dates. These show the date of that check and say it did not confirm the dates, with no check mark.
How dates are checked
A job scheduled weekly, on Mondays, looks at the events that start in the next 60 days and compares the date and venue on each record with the page the record cites. A record whose cited page still shows last year’s date is marked “date to be confirmed” until someone confirms it. The job opens a pull request with its proposed changes. It does not merge the request or deploy the site itself.
Ended events
83 of 96 listings have ended for 2026. They stay listed with an Ended note, and their pages carry no calendar download, weather forecast, or ticket button. We show 2027 dates only after the organizer publishes them.
How pages are written
Listing text is written from the facts in each record. Guides are drafted with AI assistance from those records, then compared with them by an automated build check that fails the build when a guide’s date or count disagrees with the records. Kinetic Gain LLC publishes the site and is responsible for its content.
Paid listings
A Featured listing bought on the advertise page is a paid placement. It is labeled Sponsored, and its outbound links carry rel="sponsored". No listing carries the Sponsored label today.
2 listings are placed at the top of lists by the publisher without payment. They carry a “Shown first” label, not the Sponsored label. No editorial review is recorded for that placement.
